Tendulkar Hero-Worshipped in World Cup Frenzy

The cricket World Cup in britain, beginning on May 15th and ending June 20th, is being hyped into a major marketing event. As the cup frenzy gains momentum, cricketers are being transformed into demi-gods. In one such hero-worshipping exercise last week, a gold medallion was released with the profile on Sachin Tendulkar, commemorating Indian's 1983 World Cup victory in UK. The medallion was released by the then captain of the winning side, Kapil Dev.
